Girls' Basketball Wins Section 5AA Championship. Advances to State.

For the ninth consecutive year, the Maranatha Christian Academy girls’ basketball team has advanced to the State Tournament. This year they won a hard-fought, physical game against Holy Family Catholic School in the Section Final in order to clinch their first appearance in Class AA.

The team, led by seniors Kylie Post (playing at U of MN-Crookston next year) and Jaclyn Jarnot (playing at Monmouth University next year), is deep and fast, yet in their Section Championship Game, they needed to adjust and play a slower methodical game and solid defense. With their hard work, tough schedule that prepared them for high-pressure games, and unwavering belief, they are looking to make a deep run in the tournament.

Good luck ladies. We’ll be cheering you on!

Go Mustangs.
