Congratulations to Kennedy Burquest for being named this year’s Maranatha Christian Academy Athena Award winner.

The Minneapolis Athena chapter recognizes outstanding senior female athletes from each of the Minneapolis city, suburban and private schools for their achievements in one or several sports, academic prestige, service to the community.

Kennedy’s highlights include;

  • 13- Varsity Letters (Basketball -3, Softball-6, Volleyball-4)
  • Member of basketball team that went to state 3 years in a row

Kennedy was an accomplished athlete, but a few highlights, include:

  1. School Record for hits and RBIs
  2. 2nd in state for RBIs in 2017
  3. 502 digs in one volleyball season, finished with career mark of 720 Digs

Kennedy also has an impressive resume off the field of athletic competition.

  • Mexico Mission Trip
  • Yearbook Staff
  • Recycling Club
  • National Honor Society
  • Academic All-State
  • Principals Club- 4 years
  • (Vice Presidents)- 3 years
