Mark your calendars for the Minnesota Christian Schools United Conference on Thursday, October 17, 2024 (during the MEA week). You and your staff can be a part of the other local Christian educators to experience this unique and inspirational conference.
This conference provides both professional and spiritual development for your entire school – from administrators to teachers to support staff – and is an opportunity to strengthen Christian schools together.
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Kathy Koch, Celebrate Kids
Dr. Kathy Koch (“cook”) is the Founder of Celebrate Kids. She has spoken to thousands of parents, teachers, and children in over 25 countries. Kirk Cameron chose her as an expert in two recent documentaries and she is also a popular guest on Focus on the Family radio and other radio talk shows and podcasts. She podcasts at Dr. Kathy Says and Facing the Dark and she is the author of seven books published by Moody. Dr. Kathy earned a PhD in reading and educational psychology from Purdue University. She is a former education professor, teacher, coach, and school board member. She has loved Jesus for years and her faith and desire to serve and glorify God is the foundation of her ministry.

We've designed this conference to have relevant topics to nearly all functions within a school as well as those young educators that are just graduating and starting their career.
New and Experienced Teachers
Maybe you are a new graduate just getting ready to have your own classroom, or perhaps you've been teaching for years but are new to a Christian school, or maybe you've been teaching in a Christian school your entire career - this conference is for you! We've developed specific sessions to equip you with Biblical worldview integration in your classroom as well as when you are dealing with parents and students.

Heads, Principals, and Administrators
Leadership charged with the mission and strategy of the school. Administrators supporting teachers in the classrooms. As a bonus breakout, learn about establishing a robust teacher onboarding program from MCA's FIRST director. FIRST is a program designed to support new hires for the first 3 years of working at your school.
Business, Finance, Marketing, Admissions, HR
Every position in your organization is critical to carrying out the mission. Breakout sessions for these departments will focus on the unique challenges they experience in their role. Connect with other staff in Christian schools and learn from each other.
Support Staff (counselors, coaches etc)
Breakouts for staff that may not have their own classroom but certainly have connections with your students.
Educator majors
Are you an education major graduating soon and evaluating which path you would like to take? Join this conference to get a perspective on teaching in a Christian school where your faith and career connect. Network with other Christian schools as you begin your teaching career.
Registration
The cost of the conference is $35/person for those registered by June 30, 2024. Registration includes coffee during the breaks and lunch on the day of the conference.
