Heart "Transplant" - Lower School Chapel

Did you know that the heart is talked about over 1,000 times in the Bible?

This week we looked at how to “transplant” our heart to our first love, which is in Christ.

The outpouring of his love within us should be reflected in how we choose to obey His commands and out willingness to love others as ourselves as God has commanded us to do (Matthew 22:37-39).

When we choose to love things of this world and respond out of hate and evil, we destroy the hearts of those around us. And while we can reconcile with those we hurt, their hearts will never quite be same. So instead, God calls us to not love the world or anything in the world, for the world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever” (1 John 2:15-17).
