Hope and solidarity with Israel - A Chapel Message
This past week in chapel, we were privileged to hear from Dylan Manley, a former youth pastor and apologist for 21 years. Mr. Manley now serves as a ministry relationship coordinator for the largest pro-Israel organization, Christians United for Israel. He delivered a powerful message of hope and solidarity with Israel in remembrance of the tragic events of October 7, which marked the largest single-day loss of Jewish people since the Holocaust. Mr. Manley emphasized the significance of this date in Israel’s modern history and why it is especially important to stand with Israel during times of crisis.
Rooting his message in scripture, particularly Genesis 12:3, he reminded us of the biblical promise that those who bless Israel will be blessed. He also pointed to God's description of Israel as "the apple of His eye" and highlighted the special plan God has for the Jewish people. With the significant rise of Antisemitism in America, we live in the day when, “Never Again is Now”. Supporting Israel, Mr. Manley stressed, is foundational to our Christian faith, making our solidarity with Israel a spiritual and moral responsibility.
In closing, he encouraged us to stay informed about current events and take action through prayer, education, and advocacy. He called for unity in standing with Israel, especially in times of adversity, and urged us to be voices of truth and love in our communities. Supporting Israel’s right to exist and thrive is not just a political stance—it is a reflection of our commitment to biblical principles and God's everlasting promise. We concluded the session in prayer, asking for the protection of Israel and the safe return of all hostages.
